Eoptolink adds 100G Single Lambda BIDI QSFP28 to its market leading PAM4 Optical Transceiver Family

Chengdu, China, January 5, 2022- Eoptolink Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: SZ.300502) is pleased to announce the release of its 100G Single Lambda BIDI QSFP28 optical transceiver Modules. The transceivers which support 100GBase applications, are GA and available for shipping right away.

QSFP28-100GBASE-BXU and QSFP28-100GBASE-BXD transceiver modules support a link length of 10 kilometers on a single strand of standard singlemode fiber (SMF) G.652.

EOLQ-BI161HG-10-AD6 (100G-BXU) module is always connected to an EOLQ-BI161HG-10-DA6 (100G-BXD) module via a single strand of standard SMF. The communication is achieved by separating the transmission wavelength of the two devices as follows:

  • EOLQ-BI161HG-10-AD6: Tx 1270nm; Rx 1330nm.
  • EOLQ-BI161HG-10-DA6: Tx 1330nm; Rx 1270nm.

Eoptolink’s BIDI QSFP28 modules enable operators and datacenters to reduce fiber usage and increase number of connections.

100G BIDI modules also offer a straightforward upgrade path to move from 10G or 25G BIDI links to 100G BIDI links. A 100G single lambda approach offers lower cost per bit and high reliability compared to 4x25G lambdas modules.
