Chengdu, China, January 09, 2023 – Eoptolink Technology Inc., Ltd. (SZSE: 300502) announced its single lambda 100G QSFP28 BiDi ER 40km optical transceiver, offering our customers cost-effective solution for long distance metro transport and datacom networks.
Eoptolink’s Single Lambda QSFP28 BiDi ER transceiver module is designed for use in 100 Gigabit Ethernet links over 40km SMF and meets IEEE802.3cd. The module has 4x25Gbps (NRZ) electrical interface signals and 1x100Gbps (PAM4) optical interface signal. The electrical interface is compliant with OIF CEI-28G-VSR and QSFP28 MSA; the optical side is 100G Lambda MSA 100G-ER1 compliant.
The module uses two wavelengths 1304/1309nm, and the Part Numbers of the C-Temp versions, operating at 0~70 °C, are as follows: -
EOLQ-BI161HG-40-YZ6: Tx 1304nm; Rx 1309nm.
EOLQ-BI161HG-40-ZY6: Tx 1309nm; Rx 1304nm.
We also offer a lower cost solution that can be used with lower chromatic dispersion fiber. This module uses wavelengths 1290/1310nm, and the Part Numbers of the C-Temp versions, operating at 0~70 °C, are as follows: -
EOLQ-BI161HG-40-BC6: Tx 1290nm; Rx 1310nm.
EOLQ-BI161HG-40-CB6: Tx 1310nm; Rx 1290nm.
The I-Temp versions, operating at -40~85 °C, are also available for both of the above solutions.

Along with the already released 10km and 20km BIDI QSFP28 modules, Eoptolink’s single lambda 100G BiDi 40km optical transceiver enables telecom and cloud operators to reduce fiber usage and increase number of connections, offering a straightforward upgrade path to move from 10G or 25G BIDI links to 100G BIDI links.
