Eoptolink adds extended reach PSM modules to its 400G QSFP-DD and OSFP portfolio

Dublin, Ireland, September 23, 2019 – Eoptolink Technology Inc., Ltd (SZSE: 300502) today announced general availability of extended reach 400G optical modules.

The EOLD-134HG-02-M and EOLD-134HG-10-M are QSFP-DD transceivers and they have an optical MPO interface with 4 independent 100G single lambda data lanes. The power consumption for both modules is <10W at 70⁰C and both are supporting “break-out” applications. The EOLD-134HG-02-M supports a transmission distance of 2km and follows the FR specification of 100G Lambda MSA. The EOLD-134HG-10-M supports the transmission of up to 10km and follows the LR specification of 100G Lambda MSA. EOLO-134HG-02-M and EOLO-134HG-10-M are OSFP transceivers and offer the same functionality in an OSFP form-factor.

“Customers are using these modules in high port density required 100G applications”, explained by Sean Davies. “A 1U switch can now offer 128x 100G ports”.

Eoptolink also offers the corresponding 100G QSFP28 FR and LR transceivers, enabling the customer to apply the 100G single lambdas in legacy QSFP28 equipment.

• EOLD-134HG-02-M (400G QSFP-DD, 4x100G FR, 2km, MPO)
• EOLD-134HG-10-M (400G QSFP-DD, 4x100G LR, 10km, MPO)
• EOLO-134HG-02-M (400G OSFP, 4x100G FR, 2km, MPO)
• EOLO-134HG-10-M (400G OSFP, 4x100G LR, 10km, MPO)
• EOLQ-131HG-O-02 (100G QSFP28, 100G FR1, 2km, LC)
• EOLQ-131HG-O-10 (100G QSFP28, 100G LR1, 10km, LC)

Eoptolink 400G QSFP-DD and OSFP Transceivers fully support CMIS4.0

Dublin, Ireland, September 23, 2019 – Eoptolink Technology Inc., Ltd (SZSE: 300502) today announced the full support of CMIS 4.0 for its 400G QSFP-DD and OSFP optical transceivers.

CMIS 4.0 enables customers to upgrade MCU and DSP firmware from the host system, offer additional digital diagnostics and has an improved state machine.
Diagnostic functions include
• PRBS Generation and Checking
• Loopback functions
• SNR data
• PAM4 Level Transition Parameters
• Pre-FEC BER and Uncorrected Error Count data

“We are pleased that our complete OSFP and QSFP-DD transceiver portfolio can now be ordered with either CMIS 3.0 or CMIS 4.0 support”, says Sean Davies, Director of Sales in Americas.

Eoptolink has a strong portfolio of industrial temperature SFP+, SFP28 and QSFP28 transceivers supporting 10G/25G Ethernet and CPRI protocols.

Eoptolink has a strong portfolio of industrial temperature SFP+, SFP28 and QSFP28 transceivers supporting 10G/25G Ethernet and CPRI protocols. Our i-temp transceivers operate from -40⁰C to +85⁰C and do not need a warm up period to achieve a higher operating temperature.

The QSFP-DD form-factor doubles the number of data-lines between the host equipment and the transceiver.

Eoptolink’s 2x100G transceivers take advantage of this new building practice and offer two 100G interfaces in one QSFP-DD transceiver. The 100G interfaces are fully compatible to CWDM4, 4WDM-10 or LR4 standards.
These transceivers offer a way of either increasing the port density in 100G switches or to connect in 400G switches more effectively to legacy equipment.

Difference between 100G ER4, 100G ER4 Lite and 4WDM-40

Below you will find a summary of the differences for 100G ER4 transceiver types. There are 3 different MSAs, or standards, targeting transmission distances of up to 40 km:

  • 100G ER4
  • 100G ER4 Lite
  • 4WDM-40
